Solid Hardwood Flooring consists of 100% solid wood. Installation of solid wood flooring is done by nailing or stapling the wood flooring boards to a wooden sub-floor.
Please remember that solid wood flooring should NOT be installed over concrete floors or below grade! If you need to install solid wood flooring over concrete areas or below grade, you can use Engineered Wood Flooring which is resistant to humidity and temperature changes.
Compare solid wood flooring and wood laminate flooring at our showroom in Somersworth. One of our knowledgable flooring specialists will answer any questions you have to help you decide on the best flooring for your home or business.
Laminate Flooring deserves a look if you need greater strength and stability in your wood floor. Laminate Flooring allows you to have a wooden floor in your home without sacrificing valuable trees or worrying about the disadvantages of a solid wood floor.
We highly recommend that you take samples home. It is important to see the products in your own lighting rather than only in the showroom lit with flourescent lights. We suggest you also look at them in the daylight as well as evening. It's amazing how different each sample might look from one setting to another.
We have samples of all our flooring. If you would like a larger sample, often times we can order one for you. We have many times matched up what customers have seen somewhere else. There is NO charge to take samples home and no problem taking multiple samples to compare and contrast.
